PT. Riau Forest Exports is an Indonesian export company based in Pekanbaru, Riau Province — the heart of one of the world's most productive agarwood regions. We source Aquilaria agarwood chips directly from verified, CITES-compliant plantation suppliers, and export to buyers across the United States, the Middle East, Europe, and beyond.
Agarwood — known as Gaharu in Indonesia and Oud in the Arab world — is one of the most valuable natural materials on earth. Formed when the Aquilaria tree produces resinous heartwood in response to fungal infection, genuine agarwood commands prices that reflect its rarity, complexity, and cultural significance across centuries of use in perfumery, incense, and traditional medicine.

Every shipment is hand-graded by our sourcing team using visual color assessment and field quality checks, then available for independent laboratory verification. Prices are per kilogram and negotiable on volume orders.

Every batch is traceable to registered Aquilaria plantations in Indonesia's Riau and Jambi regions. We visit farms directly, verify documentation, and conduct on-site quality checks before any purchase commitment is made.
Agarwood is a CITES Appendix II listed species. Every export from PT. Riau Forest Exports is accompanied by valid CITES permits, SATS-DN transport documentation, and SVLK timber legality certification — giving buyers complete legal peace of mind.
Lab test results covering species DNA verification, resin content percentage, moisture levels, and contaminant screening are available on request for any grade. We believe verification should precede every significant purchase.
No middlemen. We source directly from plantation suppliers and export under our own company registration, giving buyers the shortest, most transparent supply chain available for Indonesian agarwood.
